Saw this band for the first time ever at the Isleta Casino in N.M and My son & his family came with me, because my son just had to see this guy Hugo who looks & even has the same demeanor as Steve Perry. The band was amazing the vocals phenomenon!! Journey is my all time favorite band, and I just saw the real Journey 3 months ago in Las Vegas N.V, and I'm telling you, Voyage is the Journey/ Steve Perry of today! Great band! Thank you Voyage for putting on such an awesome concert!👏👏

Hugo is great! However, sorry, as a singer myself, he is respectfully not the calibre of singer that Steve Perry was (Really nobody is yet). Erik Gronwall does an amazing job with some journey tracks but he has a slightly different tone. He makes it work and it is incredible but still not Steves style or tone. Dean Castronovo, while playing the drums, even though he sings with more head voice than I prefere, he has very good tone. He comes close to steve on the higher notes. However you here the airy sound of his head voice in the verses. Hugo has the same airy sound just not as strong as Dean though. All in all every singer that has come along and tried to do a Journey song in the style of Steve Perry fall short. Anything Steve has done either in the studio or live compare it to anything anybody has done in his style not even close. His chest voice with his mix voice to his head voice and tonality is off the charts. None the less, Hugo Truly does an AMAZING job. I'm a fan, However, I'm a Huge fan of Steve Perry right from the beginning of his journey with Journey joining in late 77 but really in 78. So, Steve Perry, Neil Schone, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valery, Steve Smith, Greg Rollie, Ansley Dunbar, George Tickner, Roberet Fleischman, Dean Castronovo, Randy Jackson, Arnel Pineda with a few other unmentioned members over the years have inspired generations of artist including Voyage. So forgive me if I'm a little harsh and critical about my idol Steve Perry. At least he doesn't do what lip syncing lead singer Steve Augeri was doing (Yep that's right) Lip Sync. Unbelievable. So Hugo, If the band ever makes it to Tampa, Florida Hopefully I notice and get tickets as I would enjoy going to the show. Good Luck with all your future endeavors.

I saw this band live a few years ago and they were amazing. It's a shame that such a vocal talent can get minimalized by that awful word...impersonator. Hugo is a gifted vocalist who has captured Steve Perry's soulful style and phrasing.
